Guns Are Now… Porn?

In case you haven’t heard, Google seems to be waging all-out war against any media or news favorable to guns. We first heard about Google refusing to show adds to sell guns. Now, Google-owned YouTube is removing gun-related channels and videos from their website.

It is, essentially, censorship.

Well, as things tend to do when big organizations try to limit peoples’ freedoms, this story has begun to take an unexpected twist. In response to YouTube’s censorship of guns, creators of pro-gun related videos are moving to porn site, PornHub, to find a way to continue to get their content out on the web.

So, in essence, YouTube has had the effect of associating guns with porn. And, yes, someone will probably actually begin to think the two are somehow related. (Thanks, YouTube, for muddying the waters even more with this ridiculous mental association.) Matthew Moss gives us details about InRange TV’s move:

InRange’s Karl Kasarda has long been a proponent of breaking YouTube’s hegemony and has mirrored InRange TV’s content on other sites including BitChute, VidMe, Full30 and on Facebook. Proud not to be monetised and subject to Google or YouTube’s fickle will, Karl sees the opening of a PornHub account as the next step in highlighting YouTube’s digital hegemony.

There are many of us who would rather that InRange TV had chosen another video site to prevent censorship of their videos. On the flip side, though, I understand them wanting to do what they need to do to be heard. Moss continues,

InRange explain that in joining PornHub they are “excited to be joining a group of content creators who are truly open and non-judgmental when it comes to potentially controversial content.” Explaining that “PornHub has a history of being a proactive voice in the online community, as well as operating a resilient and robust video streaming platform.”

You and I may not like this choice by InRange TV, but, in this case, it appears that politics does, indeed, sometimes make strange bedfellows.

  1. As I recall, Google’s watchword was Do No Harm. They have interestingly and obviously long since departed from this dictum. Therefore, Google and it’s love child U Tube are advised as follows. Go and separately or jointly perform that sometimes referenced unnatural sexual act.

  2. LONG LIFE SHITHOLE TRUMP;EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE AN AK-999999999999999999999999!Elementary school teachers should have AK898989898989989989889899s stuck in their pussies–GRAB A PUSSY!

  3. Boycott everyone who bans firearm issues. Don’t buy their products. This goes for ALL sportsmen ane women. WE CAN BREAK THEIR BACKS!!

    • The thing is if you start boycotting every company that bans guns we’ll have no place to go to bye stuff or go out to.

  4. Don’t use Google as your search engine. Use Bing, Duck Duck Go or anyone but Google.
Like Amazon, people give them their power, people can take it away.
A people loose their freedom when they exchange it for security and end up with neither.

  5. David, I don’t know of any website that is not owned or controlled by Google. DuckduckGo is, I’m not sure about Bing, and being a ‘not too computer savvy, I don’t know what to do about it. I’ve been checking as best I can, have talked to people that are supposed to know what they are talking about, and I still don’t know what to do. If you can give me a hand, I’d really appreciate it.
