The Solution To Mass Shootings? Good Guys With Guns. Here’s Proof.

Many in Hollywood and Washington want you to think that mass shootings wouldn’t happen without guns and the way to prevent active shooters is to make guns harder to put their hands on. Well, Chicago makes it clear that putting your hands on a gun isn’t an issue for those who want to do it, whether legal or not.

So, how do you prevent active shooters and mass shootings? You have a good guy with a gun on the scene (hat tip to here for the lead). Christen Smith writes,

Citizens, both armed and unarmed, successfully intervened in eight active shooter incidents over the last two years, according to a new report from the FBI.

The agency said the “selfless actions” of those who thwarted the attacks “likely saved many lives.” In total, the FBI recorded 943 casualties — 221 deaths and 722 injuries — across 50 mass shootings, including 20 in 2016 and 30 in 2017. All the shooters were male, ranging in age from 14 to 66, according to the report.

“The enhanced threat posed by active shooters and the swiftness with which active shooter incidents unfold support the importance of preparation by law enforcement officers and citizens alike,” the report concludes.

In other words, if we want people to be safe, then responsible gun owners should be everywhere and should be carrying a firearm on their person everywhere.

Contrary to what anti-gunners think about gun owners, gun owners overwhelming are like Stephen Willeford who stopped the mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas in November of 2017. Willeford said recently,

He had an AR-15, but so did I. I’m not the bravest man in the world or anything, but I was there and I could do something. And I had to do something.

Contrary to standard anti-gunner rhetoric from Washington, Willeford’s words aren’t the words of a crazy man or an aggressor. They are the words of a person who takes responsibility for being able to help other people, and he did so. That is the attitude of the average gun owner in America, and we need more of these people in America instead of clueless anti-gunners in Washington.

  1. I too believe that this would make the difference! I am a gun owner, carry a concealed permit, and believe that any shooter that knew others also had a gun immediately available to them; would perhaps think longer about trying to get away with a mass shooting! Hopefully, even the shooter wouldn’t get killed, but at least not ABLE TO SHOOT ANYONE ELSE!

  2. A good GUY with a gun will stop a BAD GUY with a gun quicker than a GUN FREE ZONE SIGN or 911. Because the good GUY with a gun is there with the ability to stop the bad GUY the GUN FREE ZONE SIGN is attached to a wall, post, or door and can not move, 911 is at least 30-45 min. Away or more due to staging getting the blue prints to building deciding if they are going to breech etc. Personally I will take a GOOD GUY WITH A GUN OVER 911 and the sign any day.!!

    • Man that was so perfect Ice, you couldn’t have said it better than that. One of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard of is a so-called gun free zone. I mean, advertising that you don’t have any protection there, why don’t they just go tell the thugs to, “come on in, take what you want, have a beer and relax a while.”
This all boils down to liberals killing liberals, definitely not conservatives on either end. It makes me wonder if they just don’t get it, if we’re packing it’s for everybody’s protection. Listening to these snowflakes you’d think we were just waiting for someone to start shooting first so we could join in. I’ve been asking for a long time now, “How can they be that dumb?” And then it hits me, they’re not. It’s just a ploy to make us give ’em up for their NWO. The 1st and the 2nd will never be given up, they might get some to give in but they’ll never, never, get them out of America.

  3. You can’t not see the common sense this makes. I would feel much safer knowing several good guys with guns in a group of people could and react accordingly.Personally I’m one that would run towards the gunfire.Thats the way I was trained.God Bless America,God bless TRUMP

  4. putting up a sign that says ” gun free zone “is like putting a target on everyone’s back. i don’t go to public places that are gun free zones. every where else i go ,i am well armed, even if it is to the mailbox.

  5. i believe that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. the liberal media only wants to focus on the bad guys and propose gun control solutions that didnt work in the first place. bad guys are like bullies. they will go after those they percieve as weak and helpless. they will avoid those that have a fighting chance showing their true cowardice. maybe if the libs found their a$$ in a similar bind, they would be readily more willing to accept the good guy strategy.
