Joe Biden may finally be out of office, but that doesn’t mean that the bureaucrats who have been working (on your dime) to force Biden’s agenda on you and me are gone. In fact, you can bet that they are going to do their best to prevent Trump from dismantling their leftist political agenda in Washington.
And that’s not just me speculating on that. A large portion of the bureaucratic work force has actually said that they plan to actively oppose Trump’s directives in spite of the fact that their job is to literally carry out the President’s directives as long as they’re legal. Paul Bedard writes,
Some 80% of government managers who voted for Harris told the survey for Scott Rasmussen’s Napolitan Institute and RMG Research that they would resist Trump when his team takes office on Jan. 20, a week from Monday.
Now, as annoying as that is, keep in mind that these are the same bureaucrats who have been ignoring court orders throughout the entire Biden/Harris administration and continuing to do things like forgive student loans in violation of court orders.
And, then, there’s this infuriating story about the ATF. Michael Clements writes,
The senior vice president of Gun Owners of America is accusing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) of attempting an end-run around court orders blocking enforcement of its own 2023 rule regulating pistol stabilizing braces.
Clements continues,
Luis Valdez, GOA’s Florida director, said the ATF is trying to circumvent the court by reinterpreting the NFA and GCA.
“They’re claiming that the ability to shoulder a handgun makes it a short-barreled rifle,” Valdez told The Epoch Times.
So, the ATF says that they’re not disobeying the court order; they’re just reinterpreting the current law so that the court order doesn’t apply to the very types of firearms that the court order was in reference to.
I’d say that you can’t make this stuff up, but it’s clear that the types of bureaucrats smitten with Biden and his policies do exactly that: make stuff up to get their way.
And they’re going to keep trying to take your rights (on your dime!) until Trump is able to drain the swamp of these swamp creatures.
