No Excuses: There’s Only One Person To Blame For Gun Violence

By now, you’ve no doubt heard about the murder of a Democrat state house member in Minnesota and her husband and the attempted murder of a Democrat state senate member and his wife. This all occurred just over a week ago at the time of this writing.

These are terrible crimes that happened to these four people that never should have happened. What would surprise some people is that I say that those awful acts shouldn’t have happened even though that state house member and that state senator would almost certainly disagree with my political viewpoints on a multitude of subjects.

I would argue, thought, that violence is never an acceptable way to handle a political disagreement. Sadly, in this day and age, that sentiment is becoming an exception to the viewpoint of many people out there.

Certainly, that viewpoint isn’t held by the person who is alleged to have committed these crimes. Joseph M. Hanneman writes,

In a letter to the FBI, suspected political assassin Vance Luther Boelter blamed Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for the June 14 shooting rampage that killed a key Democratic House member and her husband and seriously wounded a Democratic state senator and his wife.

Liz Collin of Alpha News broke the story Friday, citing “multiple sources with direct knowledge of the investigation.”

That is simply insane to me. And I was not a supporter of Walz for Vice President nor would I vote for him if I lived in Minnesota.

But I also wouldn’t blame Walz for my actions in any arena of life. My actions are my actions and no one else’s.

To make this situation even more offensive to law-abiding gun owners, it’s almost certain that the legacy mainstream media will cover this development by focusing on Boelter’s blame of Walz and, then, spin that to talk about right wing violence being on the rise.

Which isn’t even remotely true.

Never let the truth get in the way of the narrative that you want to push, isn’t that, right legacy mainstream media?

Don’t let them gaslight you or anyone else about that. The fact of the matter is that guns don’t commit violence. People, and only people, do.
