How To Make Appendix Carry Work For You

Appendix carry is probably the single most popular concealed carry method today. Sure, many people choose to carry at 3:00, a few carry a 6:00, probably less carry in shoulder holsters, and off body carry has its dedicated advocates.

But appendix carry is what most people looking to carry concealed are going with.

There are some good reasons why that is the case. The top two are probably:

First, it’s at the front of your body where your hands are, so, you can get to your gun quicker. And as we all know, seconds matter in matters of life and death.

Second, if you do it right, it can be nearly impossible to tell that you’re carrying unlike some other carry positions which nearly require bigger cover garments even in summer to effectively conceal. With appendix carry, if you’re smart about it, almost no one else will ever know that you are carrying which can give you an edge of surprise in a situation in which you may need to use your firearm.

The thing is, while both of these points are advantages of appendix carry, they can fight against each other. If a gun is easier and quicker to access and effectively use, that could mean that you’re carrying in a way that is less concealable. But if you’re carrying in deep concealment, that could mean that you’re carrying in a way that isn’t quickly accessible.

Is there a way to get the best of both worlds?

Fortunately, there is, with some forethought and planning on your part. To see how to do that, watch the video below (it’s less than 15 minutes).

Did you take the time to watch it?

Then you know that it can come down to how you choose to dress and how you set up your holster against your body.

Fortunately, though, you can have quick access and concealability at the same time, so take some time to do that now.
