There’s a disturbing pattern among those pushing for gun control that you may have noticed.
Sure, it may have become a bit more obvious when Joe Biden tried to put David Chipman in charge of the ATF. He was exactly the kind of person that we don’t want heading up the ATF (or the DOJ or any other position of power, for that matter), and if you want more details as to why, you can get them here.
If you haven’t already guessed, though, the people who seem to push gun control the most are the power-hungry and the ignorant. And those are sometimes the same person as we tragically see from a recent incident in the United Kingdom. Chris Summers writes,
UK police said a preliminary determination by a pathologist suggested that one of the two Jewish men killed outside a synagogue on Oct. 2 died from a gunshot wound.
Now, it’s bad enough that one of these men were killed by a firearm in a country where it’s borderline impossible to get your hands on one. What makes this tragedy even more outrageous is who actually pulled the trigger.
Watson added that it is currently believed that the attacker, Jihad Al Shamie, a British national of Syrian origin, was not carrying a gun and that the only shots fired during the incident were from authorized police firearms officers “as they worked to prevent the offender from entering the synagogue.”
“It follows therefore, that subject to further forensic examination, this injury may sadly have been sustained as a tragic and unforeseen consequence of the urgently required action taken by my officers to bring this vicious attack to an end,” Watson said.
Watson said the police have been advised by doctors that one of the three casualties, who is still being treated in hospital, also appears to have suffered a gunshot wound, “which is mercifully not life-threatening.”
That’s right, it wasn’t the alleged attacker, who was unarmed.
It looks like the people that were shot were shot by police… the very people taking firearms from the people in the U.K.
So, it’s the ignorant and the power-hungry who are the most dangerous with firearms and who want to take yours.
And that situation isn’t unique to the U.K. It’s true in the U.S., too.
