Democrat Senators Trying To Secretly Get Around The 2nd Amendment

Disgusted.

I’m absolutely disgusted by the behavior and shenanigans of Democrat legislators who obviously don’t give a rat’s… backside… about the U.S. Constitution.

Sure, they could move someplace that has all of their politically liberal and left-wing policy preferences already in place (Canada and most of Europe do), but they won’t do that.

Instead, they just keep trying to shove their policies down our collective throats.

And despite the fact that they’re actually supposed to work within the Constitution, not to try to circumvent it without going through the constitutional amendment process.

The self-righteous hypocrites who want to take our 2A rights from us are the same ones hiding behind bodyguards and law enforcement officers with guns.

“Guns for me but not for thee” is their unspoken motto.

Just like dictators and would-be dictators throughout history (Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot?).

And, yes, they’re pushing to set up the situation where neither you nor me would be able to legally buy a firearm again (hat tip to here for the lead). Mark Chesnut writes,

Back in 1998, when the National Instant Check System (NICS) law was passed, its opponents eventually realized they would lose. As a result, they very cleverly managed to include a provision in the law allowing gun retailers to proceed with transferring a gun to a buyer after three days if the NICS system hasn’t issued instructions to stop or proceed with the sale.

The motivation for the provision was the realization that if the government ever wanted to stop purchases without going through the legislative process, all it had to do was shut down or slow NICS checks, leaving buyers with no choice but to wait until a sale was approved—if it ever was.

Chesnut continues:

Recently, gun-ban advocate Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Connecticut, introduced a measure that would permit a purchase to be delayed indefinitely if the NICS system doesn’t respond, even if the buyer isn’t prohibited from buying a firearm.

Other Democrats supporting this measure include Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Adam Schiff (D-CA), both of whom hate the Second Amendment and neither of which seem to care about the Constitution at all.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I think it unlikely that this bill will pass, but I’ve been surprised in the past.

This isn’t one that I want to be surprised about. I want this bill eliminated completely.

If you agree with that sentiment (and I’m assuming that you do since you’re here), please contact your Senators and request that, if this bill comes up for a vote, they vote against it.
