If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being involved in a defensive shooting, you’ll have to deal with the scary aftermath of that shooting. In addition to the medical issues, both for you and the other person, there are legal issues and, too often, media issues around the situation.
All of those complicate what is already a horribly stressful and awful situation for everyone involved.
But the legal side of things is the part that most often confuses people, primarily because lawyers and the court system look at these situations through a very particular lens which both ignores certain aspects that some people think should be relevant and also takes into consideration aspects that people don’t (at least initially) consider as being important to the legal side of things.
Fortunately, there are a few lawyers, such as the folks at the Washington Gun Law YouTube channel, who are perfectly willing to go over how the law views these types of things. Those good folks have decided to review the recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shooting in Minnesota that I’ve been seeing characterized in the legacy mainstream media as ICE shooting an innocent parent who found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Now, no matter what your position is on immigration, specifically illegal immigration, and ICE, what is abundantly clear is that the legacy mainstream media is continuing to both selectively report and to falsely report on situations in order to push an agenda.
We’ve seen that trend from them when it comes to the Second Amendment, but that isn’t, by any means, limited to just the Second Amendment as we’ve seen in how they keep trying to characterize this incident.
And they wonder why more and more Americans simply do not trust the legacy media outlets to push anything but propaganda. It’s because, often, propaganda is exactly what they push.
Even if they continue to lie about things, you need to continue to be safe out there.
