For a group of people who keep saying that they want gun control to reduce gun violence, they sure seem to be trying to use guns quite a bit to kill people whose politics that they disagree with.
Yes, you guessed it. We’re talking about yet another attempt to assassinate President Trump. According to Fox News, that brings the number of assassination attempts to ten at the time of this writing.
Half of those attempts were with firearms.
Today, we’re going to talk about the most recent attempt on Trump’s life, which happened just a few days ago at the time of this writing. Emel Akan writes,
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday evening after an assailant breached a security checkpoint near the ballroom and shot a Secret Service agent.
The Secret Service has confirmed that the president, the first lady, and all protectees are safe. The agency said the alleged shooter is in custody.
Several Epoch Times staff on the scene heard shots at about 8:40 p.m. and witnessed the reaction. Immediately after around five shots rang out, Secret Service agents rushed the stage.
It’s such a twisted world that we live in when people actually believe the hyperbolic rhetoric spouted by the legacy mainstream media in their relentless propaganda campaign to hate Trump and anyone politically conservative.
And, unfortunately, people act on that propaganda to try to do terrible things. Like attempting to kill a politician.
It’s worth pointing out again that the people who keep trying to kill Trump (as you’ll recall, many with firearms) are the same people who keep pushing gun control under the excuse that they want to reduce gun violence.
But these assassination attempts prove that they don’t want gun control in general. They just don’t want anyone who disagrees with their politics to have guns.
And that really should tell you everything that you need to know about both gun control and about their politics.
