It never ceases to fascinate me how people come up with the justifications that they do for the actions that they take. Now, as a general rule, I think that it’s great for any and all law-abiding citizens to become legal gun owners.
After all, the more law abiding people carrying guns everyday, the safer the country is overall.
Still, sometimes people come to gun ownership based on very unusual or, in some cases, even delusional reasons that they use to justify in their minds becoming gun owners.
I mean, sometimes the reasons given are the equivalent of saying that they need to eat two pounds of ice cream today because the fire giant in their backyard will burn their house down if they don’t.
You’d think that the person saying that with a straight face is clearly not thinking straight. And the reason that some people in one group are giving for buying their first firearm? Well, it seems pretty over-the-top to me (hat tip to here for the lead). An article over at HeadlineUSA gives us the details:
LGBT liberals are reportedly buying firearms over fears they’ll be rounded up and placed in “concentration camps” under the incoming Trump administration, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The new gun-toting groups, including the Liberal Gun Club, the Socialist Rifle Association, and Pink Pistols, claimed they’ve received “thousands” of firearm training requests since Trump won the 2024 election.
“Three months before the election, that’s when the alarm bells started to ring,” a 24-year-old transgender activist told the outlet, adding that armed leftists will now be able to fight back “in the event of hate crimes or terrorist attacks.”
The activist added minorities should also take their Second Amendment rights seriously, since “minorities that are armed are more difficult to legally oppress.”
It’s ironic that a group that regularly votes to disarm people to prevent them from being able to defend themselves against the government is, now, arming themselves exactly for that purpose.
You’d almost think that they’d actually thought through the purpose of the Second Amendment.
Still, the only people that I’ve heard talking about putting people into internment camps have been those on the political left over the last few years who have said that they think that Trump supporters should be rounded up and sent to “reeducation camps.”
So, good for them for actually getting a clue about the Second Amendment and arming themselves, but the whole internment camps excuse for arming themselves strikes me as pretty bizarre.

The Extra large Lady in the video has as much knowledge about firearms as Obama and Hillary and Biden have about Honesty…Natha, Zip, nothing…better to have kept her mouth shut and let us wonder if she was stupid rather than open it and confirm it.

Gun control is about disarming those people who don’t agree with THEIR way of thinking, but hey seem to forget that it puts them in the same boat as Hitler disarming German Jews, southern DEMOCRATS disarming freed slaves or even the “Relocation Camps” for Japanese-American citizens during WWII.
