It never ceases to surprise me when I see people who are obviously intelligent and who have the resources and access to accurate information about a subject who advocate for the exact opposite of what is a rational position on the subject.
I’m sure that you can think of a number of topics that we see this about, especially over the last few years. Since we talk about firearms on this site, though, we’ll limit our discussion to gun control.
So, today, we’re going to talk about comedian Jon Stewart. It’s probably not a surprise to you that Stewart, like most “celebrities,” leans towards the political left on most topics. That includes gun control.
To push his agenda, Stewart interviewed a state representative who, unfortunately, seemed unprepared for how to counteract Stewart’s “arguments” in the clips that I saw (to be fair, Stewart is good at pushing and arguing for his political positions). That didn’t stop Colion Noir from doing the job that Stewart’s viewers should have seen in a discussion about gun control and taking apart those talking points in a reply video.

So, Stewart, like so many otherwise intelligent people on the political left, takes terms written over two hundred years ago and interprets those terms through a modern understanding of the term.
These people completely ignore that language changes meaning over time so that when you read Shakespeare, for example, his use of some words means wildly different things in modern language than it did when it was written. That’s one of the things that makes reading Shakespeare difficult for many people.
But Stewart should know better. His arena is the use of words and language. After all, that’s what his style of comedy and talk shows are all about: communicating through words.
And, yet, he did exactly that: took words out of their context of meaning at the time that they were written and twisted that meaning by interpreting them through a modern lens.
There’s no excuse for Stewart’s sloppy use of language to push an agenda.
Thankfully, though, there are people out there debunking gun control nonsense, and if you have people in your life pushing that foolishness, just have them read this article and watch the video to clear up their thinking for them.
Stalin registered all guns over a 12 month period for the protection of the owner should the gun be stolen. Then 8 months later he ordered the confiscation of all guns and if you resisted they shot you in your doorway.

Every Country that had gun REGISTRATION has led to the eventual CONFISCATION …

Stewart makes the same old nonsensical, fatuous communist inspired arguments that fail the test of logic and English language. He obviously failed high school civics but scored high in a book report on the Communist Manifesto.
He is not reading the entire Amendment “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, ( It says that an army or group are necessary to keep freedom ) the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” …
EVERY school in Israel has at least one armed security staff member.
Yet ZOGUSA jews like Stewart (Liebowitz), Schumer, Feinstein, Rankin etc. hypocritically deny that same level of protection is relevant and applicable here.
They refuse to recognize or admit that the problem is criminals and the insane that are the misusers of firearms…NOT law abiding citizens that have the means of their own self protection.
Young women go to the beach in Israel on bicycles with select fire (automatic fire capable) M-4 carbines, based on the SCARY AR-15 “assault rifle”, slung over their shoulders along with their beach bags. Any terrorist or rapist messes with them at their own stupid peril.
If a grandfather, well regulated (in 18th Century common parlance…equipped,trained), of one of those kids at that Nashville school, was on scene, that raving wacko wouldn’t have made it past the first locked glass door that it shot out.

My understanding is, that Stewart and crew showed up on Jan. 6th and were doing as everyone else, but they haven’t been arrested! Why do you suppose that is? He just like Soros, a punk ass sell out of his own people, the old I’ll rat them out if you leave me alone. He’s been a piece of sh^t for decades, I’ve never seen his show and won’t.

Libturds don’t understand that the 2nd Amendment is two separate Independent Clauses. The 1st clause refers to the Militia of each Statr and “Well Regulated” means Well Trained. Who are the State’s Militia? Every able bodied person capable of bearing Arms.
The second Clause refers to the People and that the People’s “Right to Keep and Bear Arms, shall not be Infringed. “Not be Infringed” means exactly what it says, The Government, Local, State or Federal is forbidden to F**k with that Right.
Stewart, doesn’t know what he’s talking about (No Democrat does). All one has to do is read the writings of the Founders, Madison’s Proposed Amendments, and the Federalist #49 to have a clear understanding of just what they meant.
The 2nd doesn’t Grant the Right, it serves to Protect it, and Democrats have been attacking the 2nd for 90 years, ever since that crippled Tyrant bastard F**king Damn Rooseveldt forced through the NFA.
