We’re going to talk today about the ATF, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. There’s been a lot of controversy around them lately with their pistol brace ruling. But that’s not the ruling that we’re going to be talking about here.
Instead, we’re going to be talking about a recent ATF statement that has some gun owners in America concerned because the statement affirmed, again, that medical marijuana users can’t be legal gun owners in America.
But it’s not so much that statement that we’re going to be talking about today. No, it’s the fact that that ATF position seems to only apply if you’re not a Democrat politician (or the son of one, in the case of Hunter Biden). And a former cop and journalist is the one calling out the ATF on their hypocrisy about this, specifically by talking about one politician by name. Lee Williams writes,
The letter [re–affirming that medical marijuana users cannot be legal gun owners] shows once again how the ATF will threaten and bully law-abiding Americans while ignoring high-profile Democrats who are committing the very same offenses. No one – other than perhaps Hunter Biden – personifies ATF’s dual standard of justice better than former marijuana lobbyist, Florida’s former Agriculture Commissioner, failed gubernatorial candidate, and the current chair of Florida’s Democratic Party, Nikki Fried.
In 2019, just days before she was sworn in as Agriculture Commissioner – who oversees Florida’s Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (CWFL) program – Fried appeared on “The Marijuana Solution’s” podcast. She told listeners that according to state law, Floridians could possess both a CWFL and a state-issued medical marijuana card, despite federal prohibitions.
“I have both,” Fried said on the podcast, which was sponsored by a marijuana vendor. “So, I want to make that very clear, that I will not be taking anybody’s concealed weapons permit or not renewing them. I see no conflict between the two.”
The podcast’s website has since been taken down, but other evidence still exists.
It’s infuriating that the ATF, which, as part of the Federal Department of Justice, is supposed to be non–partisan and non–political, has revealed itself to be one of the most partisan political organizations in the nation.
All on your tax dollars.
The fact of the matter is that the ATF, and the DOJ, to a large extent, it seems, has become nothing more than a Stasi (East German secret police under their communist government) organization here in the U.S.
It’s appalling, and it needs to stop.
And you’ll notice that the people that these organizations are both acting as shock troops for and running interference for are the same people trying to steal our Second Amendment rights.
That should tell you all that you need to know about why these organizations need to be defunded and the Second Amendment left alone.
Seems that ATF is trying to circumvent the law and they have made themselves Judge, Jury, and Physician. The law reads “firearms can not be removed (because removal is only acceptable in the case of judicial findings and decree confirming guilt). Since a Medical Marijuana Card is reviewed by a Doctor and approved by the Doctor, he/she approving a Medicine for use by the card holder. Since ATF doesn’t have a medical license ATF is breaking the law. I wonder how many agents have cards themselves.
My question is: Who precisely has the power to rein in or disband the ATF?
There is a plethora of evidence out there showing abuse of authority it does not have.
This also applies to other agencies under the DOJ, such as the FBI.
WHO HAS THE POWER AND AUTHORITY TO STOP THESE ABUSES?
WHY ARE THESE ROGUE AGENCIES STILL RUNNING AMOK?
If Congress has the power and authority, why are they not exercising their authority?
IS CONGRESS SUCH A BUNCH OF PANTS-WETTING COWARDS THAT THEY ARE PARALYZED, OR WHAT?
