People get involved with firearms for a variety of reasons. Some people focus on personal protection. Some people focus on hunting. Still others love the competitive aspect of shooting.
Even among those different groups there are sub groups. Some people hunt deer while other people hunt turkey or quail, for example. And in the competitive shooting arena, some people are all about competitive pistol shooting, and other people want to target shoot things at extreme distances.
For people into distance shooting, specifically those into extreme long-range shooting, today’s gun may be of interest to you. The Tactical Life Staff give us details of a new model rifle that may interest you:
Barrett Firearms recently announced is long-awaited follow-up to theΒ MRAD platform. The new Barrett MRADELR expands on the martial design in a package built to go seriously long. Already tested at King of the 2 Miles and more, the MRADELR checks all the boxes regarding components and features in a long-range shooting package. Chambered in 416 Barrett, with other larger calibers planned, the MRADELR is legit.
They continue:
The MRADELR comprises a military tested, out-of-the-box, extreme long-range rifle system. It utilizes interchangeable barrels to accommodate multiple calibers within one rifle. The real upgrade here, however, is the attention to long-range precision. Barrett went after a rifle equal to custom-built models currently out there in the competition world. So here comes the MRADELR, chambered in 416 Barret, and built to go long.
And, again, from the Tactical Life Staff:
Our early range sessions with the MRADELR earned this rifle the βBallisticβs Best Editorsβ Selectβ award for Best ELR Rifle. And with good reason, as this bad boy might as well have been firing lasers during our range session. The rifle also earned a 2nd place finish at the recent King of 2 Miles competition, going against the best custom-built rifles in the world.
You can see this rifle being fired in the short video below.
Clearly, this is a rifle built specifically for range, but it’s something that you don’t have to have custom built to go the distance. It’s designed to do that right out of the box which is a nice bit of convenience.
So, if you’re a distance shooter, especially one interested in extreme long-range shooting, then, the Barrett MRADELR may be a rifle to consider.
How about leaving the terrible music off so I can hear them talk and listen to the sound of the discharge.
agreed, if this is the audience they want to attract then we should worry.

I agree with Gregory, the βmusicβ is a major distraction to what appears to be a nice gun. Let the product speak for itself.
