Major Organization STEPS IN IT With 1 Tweet

Today we have a rare treat for you, an experience rarely seen in our world of polarized political views. It’s simply astounding in its complete lack of awareness and tone deafness in our culture. Truly shocking.

Today, we’re going to talk about how one large, very influential organization managed to make both sides of the gun issue angry. Yes, they managed to make both legal gun owners and anti-2A zealots mad with just one tweet. It’s truly remarkeable.

So, here’s what happened: The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), which was started to help African-Americans in what was still a racially segregated society at that time, has devolved to become just another left wing political organization who unrelentingly stumps for the Democrat Party and leftist political views. That means, of course, that they are pushing for gun control instead of logic and rationality.

With a recent tweet for gun control, though, the NAACP really stepped in a pile of… stuff. And they caught it from both sides afterwards. Carlos Garcia writes,

“A TikTok ban before gun reform is wild,” the account responded on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

In fact, Biden had signed legislation imposing new gun restrictions in 2022 after a shooting in Texas and another in Buffalo, New York. Many on social media slammed the NAACP for the egregious error.

“Tweeting before googling is wild,” read one response.

“What intern yall have tweeting this? There was a gun reform law signed into law by the Biden administration. The first one signed by any president in over 30 years. This isn’t that hard to find out,” replied another account.

Garcia continues:

“An organization allegedly dedicated to Black empowerment advocating to strip Black Americans of their second amendment rights is also wild,” said podcaster Rob Smith.

By Thursday, the NAACP deleted the misleading missive.

How about that? Having made so many people on both sides of an issue angry (not to mention catching flack for misrepresenting the government’s actions on TikTok) that you, then, decide that it’s just better to delete the tweet and hope that it goes down a memory hole to disappear forever. That’s pretty bad.

But when an organization gives itself over to pushing to steal Americans’ rights instead of actually trying to solve problems, that organization deserves our mocking.
