Is Dem VP Pick To BLAME For This Crime?

Today we have another story about the strange way that politics are playing out in American, specifically in the 2024 Presidential election season. We have Donald Trump, who Democrats have been trying to find any way to keep from running again, along with J.D. Vance on the Republican side of things, and current Vice President Kamala Harris, with Tim Walz as her V.P. pick, on the Democrat side.

Now, you may be one of the many people who asked, “Who?” when Tim Walz was picked to run as the V.P. on the Democrat ticket this year (I know that I certainly asked that question). And it’s a fair question to ask.

The short answer is that Walz is the current governor of Minnesota which, if you’ve been paying attention over the last few years, should be a warning sign to you.

Why? Because Walz has pushed every left-leaning political position out there. And that includes soft on crime, early release, “bail reform,” and other types of policies that leads to the type of crimes that we’re going to talk about today being committed. Steve Karnowski writes,

A judge has convicted a Minnesota man on gun and drug charges in a case that drew attention because he was sentenced to life in prison as a teen in a high-profile murder case and spent 18 years in prison before his sentence was commuted.

Hennepin County Judge Mark Kappelhoff ruled in a “stipulated evidence trial” that the evidence was sufficient to find Myon Burrell guilty of both possession of a firearm by an ineligible person and of fifth-degree drug possession. Prosecution and defense attorneys had agreed earlier to let the judge decide the case based on mutually agreed-upon evidence instead of taking it to trial.

Now, in this case, to be fair, the state pardon board commuted Burrell’s sentence because new evidence had been discovered and due to reports of “serious flaws” in the investigation that led to Burrell’s sentencing from the killing of an 11 year old girl in 2002 with a stray bullet.

So, maybe, Walz wasn’t responsible for Burrell being out of jail and the crime being committed that is putting him back into jail.

But Walz pushes policies that will lead to more of this type of early release, often of clearly guilty criminals, which will make our streets more dangerous (remember the handling of the George Floyd riots while he was governor there?).

And if Harris and Walz win the November 2024 election, you’ll need to make sure that you’re training and carrying your firearm everyday to protect yourself and your family because, almost certainly, America will become less safe in every way.
