There was a time when the idea of living in New York City seemed exciting to me. So many places to go, things to do, people to meet. It sounded like it would be a fantastic experience.
But the more that I find out about the current reality of living there, the more that I’m glad that I don’t. And unless things change radically and soon, I doubt that I ever will want to live there.
So, what’s going on there?
Well, as you probably know, like many cities, New York has been suffering under politically left-leaning politicians. That means, of course, things like being soft on crime and “police reform.”
The result? It’s not pretty. Candace Hathaway writes,
New York Police Department Detective Bureau Assistant Chief Jason Savino warned that young and violent members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua are not facing any real consequences for their criminal actions in the Big Apple.
No real consequences. None. Hathaway continues:
During a Tuesday interview with WNYW, Savino explained that the transnational gang has a significant presence in the Times Square area, particularly around the former Roosevelt Hotel turned immigrant shelter. He warned that the violent group has even started recruiting children.
Savino stated that the police department is aware that the group has gotten its hands on many firearms, as evidenced by photographs posted online by alleged gang members.
He described TDA as “tremendously brazen” and “absolutely ruthless.”
“Individuals … have committed a multitude of crimes with basically no repercussions,” Savino told WNYW.
And how are they getting away with it? Again from Hathaway:
According to Savino, the young gang members are not facing consequences because of their age and bail reforms.
“We put a lot on our DA [Alvin Bragg]; we have to look at our judges as well,” he added.
That’s right. Apparently, if you’re really young in New York City, you can get away with anything.
And one of the main people to blame for this horrible situation? That’s right, it’s the same George Soros-funded District Attorney who made it his mission to get Donald Trump on something, no matter how frivolous and blatantly ridiculous it was.
That’s the kind of nonsense that the people of New York City are dealing with. And if they want the situation to improve, they had better start voting differently.
Bout sums it up brother. We are in SC, but everyday in the upstate I can see gang tattoos no brown skinned individuals. They are a haughty bunch expecting US citizens to give them what they want. Thank Harris! Your position as a lacking border czar has endangered my family, my neighborhood, my region, my state and my country. Obama/Biden/Harris should hang their heads in shame.
The Progressives consider it a success. They express pride in what they have achieved. John Kerry wants government editorial control over what can be said publicly so they can stifle “disinformation” – like Biden’s garage pile of classified documents or the Hunter “Russian disinformation” laptop. Or the alien invasion.
Does the American public need any more reasons to to KEEP THE MARXIST DEMOCRATES OUT OF ANY POLITICAL OFFICE! THESE IDIOTS ARE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DESTROY OUR NATION. MAGA 2024!!!!!
