Dirt Cheap Glock Clone?

You already know that tons of people love Glocks. They’re dependable and customizable, and for many people, that makes Glocks the Holy Grail of the pistol world.

But for those who aren’t Glock fans, it often comes down to two different issues. One issue is that Glocks are common on the marketplace and aren’t designed to look “fancy,” and some people like some individuality. The other reason is that Glocks aren’t typically on the affordable side in terms of what you get for what you pay. Some people want more bang for their buck.

Now, if the first Glock complaint isn’t an issue for you but you do want to buy your guns on the cheap, so to speak, then a made in America Gen 3 clone by a veteran owned company may be exactly what you’re looking for. Paul Peterson writes,

When it comes to modern budget-friendly semi-auto pistols, it doesn’t get much more affordable than the FMK 9C1-G2. This double-stack 14+1 9mm pistol is a somewhat peculiar American-made clone of the Glock 19 Gen 3.

Peterson continues:

Here are my top pros and cons for this FMK 9C1-G2.

Pros:

– Affordable price

– Reliable with break-in period and maintenance

– Accurate

– Lifetime warranty for original buyer

– Comfortable grip

– Sights are compatible with similar Glock sights

– Lots of color options

– Controls are all easy to reach and use

– Easy to maintain and shoot

Cons:

– Break-in period needed for this one

– Mushy trigger is just OK

– Limited slide texturing and rail space

– 14-round mags are fine, but still less than a Glock 19

Now, to be fair, other people haven’t experienced a break in period at all with this pistol and have reported it running well from out of the box. And they also argue that this pistol is more like a Stoeger than a Glock. You can watch a review mentioning those points below.

Is this the right pistol for you? Obviously, that depends on what you’re looking for.

If you’re looking for a Glock clone (or Stoeger clone) with a street price of under $200, though, the FMK 9C1-G2 should almost certainly be added to your list of pistols to consider.
