How To Carry Concealed When You HATE Appendix Carry

There’s no doubt about it. When talking about carrying a firearm concealed, most people default to appendix carry. You know, typically inside the waistband with the gun pointing towards your private parts.

Some people simply aren’t comfortable with that carry position. Maybe they’re nervous about where the barrel of the gun is pointing when holstered. Maybe they find appendix carry uncomfortable. Maybe they don’t feel like they can conceal with appendix carry because they have a few extra pounds around the middle.

Fortunately, for these folks, appendix carry isn’t the only option for carrying concealed. Strong side is, also, a viable carry position, if you know what you’re doing, and Will Workman with Modern Protector shows how you can strong side carry concealed… regardless of what you’re wearing.

So, what is the key to comfortably carrying concealed on your strong side? It’s to make sure that you have a way to carry and keep your firearm in position no matter where you are carrying it.

In other words, your belt is key (though, the holster is incredibly important, too). Different clothing choices lend themselves to different belt options.

Frankly, you need a belt that is comfortable but will keep your holstered firearm tight against your body. Having your gun tight against your body or anchored to your pants can be what makes carrying concealed on your strong side a workable choice (most appendix carry choices anchor to your pants, typically by attaching to the belt running through your pant’s belt loops).

Now, is this situation going to work for everyone? Frankly, no situation is certain to work for everyone.

But this will work for many people and give them options to be armed without drawing attention to themselves.
