Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who President Trump has famously mocked by calling “Pocahontas” because of her claims that she is native American (even though DNA tests showed her to be more white than the average American), has gone back to one of her favorite targets (possibly second only to targeting businesses): Americans’ Second Amendment rights
As usual, Warren is using the excuse of saving lives to try to prevent you or me from getting our hands on firearms and accessories that criminals get their hands on everyday.
This time, at least, the excuse has a bit of twisted nuance, though, in that it is focusing on ammunition sold to Mexican cartels. Don’t let her fool you, though: if passed, this will limit the rights of Americans. Mike Stone gives us the details:
U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren will introduce legislation on Thursday to stop a U.S. Army-owned ammunition plant from selling military-grade bullets to civilians, asserting that some are being diverted to arm Mexican drug cartels and have been used in more than a dozen American mass shootings.
The Stop Militarizing Our Streets Act, co-sponsored by Senator Andy Kim and Representatives Robert Garcia and Jamie Raskin, would prohibit Pentagon contractors from selling military-grade assault weapons and ammunition to civilians.
It would also require that military contractors only sell firearms and ammunition to commercial dealers that follow minimum safety practices, such as screening customers and having a low history of gun sales that are later linked to a crime.
So, someone did a bad thing using a firearm or ammunition manufactured in the U.S., and Warren wants to prevent people from doing evil things by preventing law-abiding Americans from being able to buy those same tools for legal uses.
In other words, punish everyone for the misdeeds of the few.
Got it.
Warren’s proposed bill is standard operating procedure for the political left and is absolutely repulsive and disgusting to rational people everywhere.
That’s nothing new. The socialist Democrats don’t want we the people to even have a sharp knife.
All totalitarian forms of government don’t allow the civilian population to own or even have access to any types of firearms or ammunition.
I should think even the most dull whitted observer is aware of that.
They’ve been chipping away at not only 2A but the entire bill of rights for the past 70 years.
Unless their voted out and stay out their eventually going to win.
They play the long game by grooming future generations as demonstrated by rhe increased influence not just in the educational system but the laws that make parenting our children comply with their rules.
Democrats have been destroying the nuclear family unit sense the 1960’s with the great society Bullshit that LBJ got passed into law.
Look at where we were before that and look at where we are today.
