Leave it to a leftist to take a tragic situation and attempt to make it worse.
An absolutely horrible situation happened recently in Brooklyn, New York. It’s the kind of thing that should never happen. I don’t care who you are or what we agree or disagree on. This kind of thing is beyond the pale.
Yet, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani went and stepped in it after news reports of the incident came out. Just like leftists always do when it comes to firearms.
So, what happened? Carlos Garcia gives us the details:
Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani faced fierce criticism when he responded to the death of a 7-month-old baby girl who was struck by a stray bullet in Brooklyn.
The tragic death of Kaori Patterson-Moore on Wednesday led to demands for change from the community, but Mamdani fell back on tired old tropes.
What old tropes did he bring up again? He focused on blaming the gun instead of the person who killed a small child.
There were those who pushed back on Mamdani’s ridiculous focus, though. Such as this one:
“Framing this as a gun problem rather than an evil gangbanger problem is more familiar territory for a self-styled progressive,” said Manhattan Institute fellow Rafael A. Mangual to Fox News Digital, “whose political base is constituted by people simultaneously (if dissonantly) committed to the cause of ‘gun control’ as well as efforts to reorient the criminal justice system to be more lenient toward the offenders who pull triggers.”
Of course, “progressives” like Mamdani want to ban guns (except for their enforcers when they’re in power) just like Soviets and Nazis both did and for the same reason: control.
And gun control? It just empowers criminals who indiscriminately shoot without concern for even children who might be hurt.
Gun control makes violence in society worse.
But that is the “solution” that anti-2A activists want. They want a “final solution” for everyone who disagrees with their leftist political policies.
