Whenever you hear an anti-2A activist tell you that they don’t want to take away gun rights, that they value the 2nd Amendment, that they care about the Constitution… you should pause and ask yourself what else they’re lying about.
Now, I’m not trying to be mean here. It’s just that opposing gun rights means that they are actually wanting to take away your gun rights; limiting gun ownership and trying to disarm Americans is the opposite of valuing the Second Amendment, and trying to get rid of any of the Amendments to the Constitution (you know, like the Second Amendment) is the antithesis of caring about the Constitution.
So, if they say one thing meaning the exact opposite, they aren’t exactly being honest, are they, even if they have fooled themselves into thinking otherwise?
With that in mind, while reading today’s story, ask yourself what is really going on here. From a writer going by Mister Retrops:
If [New York bill 2025-A2228] passes into law, New York residents will have to submit to fingerprinting and a criminal background check in order to purchase a 3D printer in their state.
Yes, a bill in New York is trying to require background checks to buy a 3D printer. To take a line from Joe Biden: “Not a joke.”
It’s absurd.
Never mind that there are millions of ways to use a 3D printer in very practical non-firearms related ways that will be impeded by this bill if it becomes law.
How much innovation will the economy in the State of New York miss out on because some busybody in their legislature got the bright idea of impeding industry instead of actually trying to fix the underlying problems causing gun violence?
And then there is the fact that this bill would violate both due process (in that it tries to prevent you from a legal transaction without probably cause) and the Second Amendment. There’s nothing positive about this bill except for the PR that it will get for that legislator for their foolishness (from other foolish people).
So, when an anti-2A advocate tells you that they want to require background checks for 3D printers, don’t let them tell you that they value the Constitution, due process, or that it’s actually about saving lives.
Their actions have shown that none of that is true.
Isn’t it bad enough that people have to jump through hoops to buy a gun, but a 3D printer with all its usages is just plain STUPID …
It might just show people what legal gun owners have to go through AND CRIMINALS DON’T HAVE TO …
Stalin’s soviets had laws banning typewriters unless you were a communist cadre. Hmm…banning typewriters to stifle non approved information? Communist! Banning 3d printers to stifle non approved creative expression? Er…commu…er…democr….er….progr…er….nist! Take the guns and shoot the bastards already. If they had the druthers they will shoot you with impunity. Remember the man, the wife, and the dog? All shot by government agents by mistaking their house for the one with the criminal next door. I think some of them were promoted, after apologizing to the innocent corpses. Correct me if I’m wrong.
and what happens when someone 3-d prints a concrete block and uses IT as a weapon…? bet these mouth-breating brainless examples of a wasted vote didn’t think about THIS.
I’m a tool and die maker. I can make a gun of almost any type in any machine shop that has a lathe and a milling machine. Will NY try to outlaw lathes and milling machines and/or machine shops that are legitimate businesses? Just questioning the logic.
Keep voting for libturds and this is what you get.
Just when you thought you heard it all, this is so ridiculous
The bottom line is if someone of a criminal bature wants a weapon they will get by manufacture, purchase, rigging. I have seen ‘zip’ guns made of pipe, wire and springs. Crude? Yes effective and disposable? Yes. Would I try that route Hell no!Im saying if will and desire meet there is definitely a way.
