Pro-2A Group Slams, Names ‘TURNCOAT’ RINOs

For gun owners, one of the biggest problems in politics today is that there are people who campaign on a pro-gun platform but, then, don’t follow through with that platform when in office. Because Democrats almost never campaign on a pro-gun platform these days, we’re effectively only talking talking about hypocrites running as Republicans with this problem.

Many people call these Republicans RINOs: Republican In Name Only. One pro-2A group recently called RINOs who voted for gun control “turncoats.” Michael Clements writes,

Gun Owners of America (GOA), the Virginia-based Second Amendment rights advocacy group, issued a scathing rebuke of the 18 Republican senators who voted for the 2023 Omnibus Appropriations Act.

In a Dec. 22 press release, GOA accused the group of advancing the Biden administration’s anti-gun agenda.

“Unfortunately, 12 gun-control items just passed the Senate with the help of these 18 Republican turncoats,” the press release states.

The Republicans who voted for the bill are Sen. Roy Blount, Missouri; Sen. John Boozman, Arkansas; Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, West Virginia; Sen. Susan Collins, Maine; Sen. John Cornyn, Texas; Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas; Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina; Sen. Jim Inhofe, Oklahoma; Sen. Mitch McConnell, Kentucky; Sen. Jerry Moran, Kansas; Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Alaska; Sen. Rob Portman, Ohio; Sen. Mitt Romney, Utah; Sen. Mike Rounds, South Dakota; Sen, Richard Shelby, Alabama; Sen. John Thune, South Dakota; Sen. Roger Wicker, Mississippi; and Sen. Todd Young, Indiana.

GOA is right. What else do you call someone who said that they supported your values, even campaigned on them, then, voted specifically against your values? Turncoats seems a good description. Hypocrites seems like another good term for them.

No matter what term that you use, it’s clear that those eighteen Senators don’t value your Constitutional rights and don’t take their oath of office seriously which includes swearing to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Supporting a limitation on the abundantly clear Second Amendment is clearly not supporting or defending the Constitution, and these turncoats should be both removed from office and barred from ever holding public office again.

When are republicans supporters going to learn that the GOP is the rear guard of the democrat party? They have ALLOWED themselves to be catfished for decades.

Vote Gold for real conservative government.

    • That crisis at the border?

Never happen if GOP catfish had ever kept their word about welfare.

  2. I Detest ANY DAMN RINO , DO NOT CARE WHOM THEY ARE OR WHAT STATE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO work for .

  3. This is what happens when people vote based on what people say rather than what they do. IF the Republican party has any hope of regaining power in Congress we are going to have to elect representatives that actually represent us as constituents rather than those that know how to say the right things to keep getting themselves elected.

    • Not bad enough. Good for a start though! I’m ashamed to say that two of them are from my home state. I’m surprised, I felt that all So. Dakotans were truthful. Not DAMNED LIARS!! Glad I moved to AZ years ago.

  4. Eric, IMO the big problem is $$$$$$. They may start out fine, but all hype goes to their head & they start believing their own press. We NEED term limits.

    • You hit the nail on the head. People with any brains are sick of the brainless jokers in Washington. Term limits will be a good start. And this insider trading needs to cease.

      • 100% Eight years maxno running for a lifelong job. And they should delete any interest in businesses with federal contracts.

  5. well that’s 18 more people you don’t have walk across the street to urinate on if they catch fire ,and immolate themselves

  6. You have to blame RINOism on the Republican Leadership. If you are elected, then told from day 1 to follow the crowd and get along with them or else. How can you blame anyone but the RINO in Chief Mitch McConnell ? Who by the way was the biggest obstacle for the RED WAVE ! The only way to change this problem is cut off the head of the snake, or it will continue to bite you in the ass. Manchurian Mitch is compromised by the Chinese Cabal, and has stabbed Republicans in the back every time. He handed Beijing Biden everything he asked for ! Time to chain that old dog to the front porch people ! He and the other RINOs need to go next vote !

  7. Yup, me and that meely mouthed Cornyn had words already. He doesn’t belong in Texas.

  8. These people are all traitors and should be treated as such.We definitely need term limits, benefit cuts, and cut the big salaries, once they are out of office. We elect them to protect their constituents, and they betray us at every opportunity. The majority of them seem to become extremely wealthy while in office. The wealth isn’t coming from salaries. The ironic part is most of them don’t do anything to earn it, unless you count helping the Marxist left destroy out country. McConnel, Romney and the rest of these rinos should never have been re elected. We can probably count, on one hand the few people in power, who care what happens to the US, and who aren’t corrupt.

  9. It doesn’t help that Nancy Piglosi just pushed through a giant raise for congress. She no doubt had a little conversation with these RINOs and “persuaded “ these pos to vote their way. But still, if yer not going to back your party, then get the h€ll out.
