Back in my 20s, a common complement for a guy is that they were “sharp.” Now, on the humorous side, I heard one guy ask, “What does that mean, that he has a pointy head?”

Funny question, but, no, it meant that the guy had his life together and that he was going someplace with his life.

Some would say that one company making Glock clones is being pretty smart by putting out “sharp” firearms with names implying that sharpness. In this case, the company is Palmetto State Armory, and the firearm is a type of Glock 19 clone that they’re calling the “Dagger.” Freidrich Seiltgen writes,

The Dagger pistol is taking the Everyday Carry crowd by storm. It’s a compact Glock 19 clone that is available in several configurations and highly customizable, as most parts are interchangeable with Glock factory and aftermarket parts. Palmetto State Armory has several pages on its website dedicated to Dagger parts such as barrels, slides, triggers, and much more.

The polymer frame features an ergonomic grip with aggressive texturing, a flat-faced trigger, and a striker block safety and trigger safety.

The stainless steel slide features the new Extreme Carry Cuts, which offer smoother edges to the rear and front of the slide to help with a faster draw without snagging the holster. The slide is optics-ready with a Doctor footprint optic cut and is finished with Black Cerakote. The barrel is stainless steel with a 1:10 twist rate, finished with a DLC coating, and may be threaded depending on the model.

With an MSRP of $349.99 to $399.99 (meaning the street price is probably very reasonable), this pistol is likely to turn some heads.

You can see the pistol in action in the video below.

So, should you get a Palmetto State Armory Dagger? Obviously, that depends on you.

If you’re looking for a Glock clone, though, without the Glock price, then, this may be a pistol worth considering.
