Why Hollywood Hates Gun Owners

Even if you’ve been actively avoiding most media, it’s been nearly impossible over the past several years to avoid coming to the clear conclusion that most people in the entertainment industry lean towards the political left and, therefore, hate guns and the 2nd Amendment (unless they’re using them on a TV or movie set). They talk about it constantly and push the idea that they are somehow qualified to give you advice on how you should think about political issues.

As if the overwhelming majority of movie stars, TV stars, and musicians who have achieved success in their fields live a life that is remotely similar to what the average American has to deal with on a daily basis.

One of the more offensive aspects of movie stars making political proclamations is how much they hate the idea of legal firearms ownership. Which makes you wonder why they haven’t spoken out about the Alec Baldwin movie set debacle. (Oh, wait, it’s because he’s vocally anti-gun when away from a movie set…)

People who make movies just go into convulsions (sometimes literally) when it comes to the idea of private firearms ownership and self-defense usage.

I’ve tended to think that they were anti-2A simply because they were on the political left which pushes diversity in everything except thinking and ideas.

I think, though, that I may have been wrong this entire time. Maybe, just maybe, the reason that they hate guns is because any kind of realistic portrayal of gun owners and gun ownership would poke holes in Hollywood’s poorly plotted horror movies (and the villains in the movies).

No, really. Watch the video below to see what I mean (fair warning: it’s about horror movies, so, there is fair amount of cursing and violence).

Did you watch that video?

Yeah, I laughed pretty hard while watching it.

It does make valid points, though. People really into firearms aren’t going to make good horror movie victims… because they have trained to protect themselves and are carrying. And that just destroys your typical slasher movie’s plotline.

And I appreciated the dig at the ATF at the end of the video, too (and, no, I’m not advocating actually assaulting or killing ATF agents. Just making fun of them.).

What did you think of the video? Comment below.
