Is it wrong to feel a bit of… glee… when someone who has harassed you without cause takes one on the chin?
Probably.
But I won’t pretend that I don’t like it when someone who has been smug, arrogant, and petulant towards legal gun owners gets bad news.
Now, I’m not talking about the kind of bad news like a family member getting injured or their beloved family pet dying. I’m not that cold hearted. But we’re talking about David Hogg here, and pretty much anything negative happening to him short of someone (or a pet) being injured or killed… well… it seems justified.
And the organization that he was the visible face of for years just announced some bad news… for them. Good news to us. Jose Nino writes,
There’s trouble in gun control land. Prominent civilian disarmament organization March For Our Lives is having to downsize its workforce and appoint a new leader amidst financial challenges.Â
The gun-control organization revealed on March 20, 2025, that it laid off 13 of its 16 full-time employees. Additionally, Jaclyn Corin, a 24-year-old Parkland survivor and co-founder of the group, has been appointed as the new executive director. Corin will lead the organization as it grapples with new challenges after the 2024 election.

The layoffs mark a major reversal for one of the nation’s premier gun control organizations, likely diminishing its influence ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.Â
Yes, I’m happy that March For Our Lives is laying off nearly all of its full time staff. They’ve been an activist propaganda organization for years now doing nothing productive and wasting people’s time and money.
The people being laid off now have a great opportunity to go out into the world and do something productive with their lives.
So, this is really a net positive for them, too, though, they likely don’t see it that way at this point.
Now, if that organization will simply shut down completely, that would be even better, and that’s something that I look forward to.
