We live in an unfortunate time when protests against the actions of the federal government are leading people to put themselves in harms way. Some may call this a righteous cause, others not. What’s clear is that it isn’t safe to interfere with law enforcement activities.
As you likely know, a woman named Renee Good was shot and killed during an incident in which she was interfering with an operation by Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE), and those on the political left are protesting the shooting in a way that seems… pointless.
The protests are rather humorous, though, if you have a sense of humor that laughs at the absurd. The BlazeTV Staff give us the details:
Protests continue to rage across the nation for Renee Good — the 37-year-old woman who was lethally shot by an ICE officer on January 7 after she struck him with her vehicle while intentionally impeding a federal immigration enforcement operation.
Some liberal activists — particularly women — are showing their solidarity with Good and opposition to President Trump and ICE by recycling the stunt they pulled in 2024 following Donald Trump’s presidential victory over Kamala Harris.
Shortly after the election, a trend went viral on social media where women shaved their heads in protest of what they perceived as the beginning of a dictatorship. Now they’re doing the same thing for Renee Good — buzzing all their hair off because that somehow sticks it to the man.
Now, I’m not an expert on how to most effectively protest an issue. I’m like millions of other firearm owners who just want the government and those on the political left to leave me alone so that I can live my life and take care of my family in peace.
But being the non-expert that I am, it’s still pretty clear to me that getting a crewcut or shaving your head bald as some form of protest just isn’t very effective. People aren’t shocked by that anymore. We’ve seen Sinead O’Connor and the punk rock movement which had women with mohawks.
A simple shaved head just looks like another slightly out of the ordinary fashion statement these days.
So, all that I can say to these people protesting the shooting of the lady who interfered with federal law enforcement and, unfortunately, was shot in the incident: find something useful to do with your life instead of just trying to be virtue signalling attention magnets.
We’ve got better things to do than to pay attention to you. Such as cleaning our firearms or getting in some dry fire practice.
