EXTREME Measures By Democrats To Try To Force A Vote

What do you call a legislator who takes ludicrously extreme measures to try to force a vote on a bill that is patently illegal in intent and purpose?

In one state, at least (and almost certainly more), you call them Democrats, apparently.

Why do I say that?

Because that’s exactly what happened in one blue state recently: Democrat legislators took measures to a childish extreme to try to force a vote with the hope of stripping their citizens of the Bill of Rights (or part of it, at least). Sophie Brams writes,

Democratic state lawmakers in Minnesota are staging a sit-in inside the state House chambers following the party-line defeat of a motion Thursday to bring a gun reform measure to the floor.

The protest is expected to last until members return for business at noon Saturday at the call of Republican House Speaker Lisa Demuth, according to The Minnesota Star Tribune.

“Until we hold the vote, we will sit,” state Rep. Liish Kozlowski, a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) from Duluth, said Thursday, urging colleagues to join.

“Together we can sit, sing, stand, do a healing dance, and we can vote,” Kozlowski added, according to the newspaper. “It’s OK to change your mind. Show us your courage, let us leave this gun violence behind.”

Democrats are demanding a vote on a Senate-approved bill that would implement several gun control measures, including a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

At this point, it’s time to start calling them the toddlers that they are. And, frankly, these people act as if their parents never told them “no” growing up, so they grew up under the delusion that whatever idea that popped into their head, no matter how divorced from reality, must be the truth simply because it occurred to them.

Never mind that all kinds of terrible ideas occur to people every day that, thankfully, they recognize as bad ideas, so they never act on them.

Not so with these clowns, though.

They act like children because they are children, on both the emotional and the reasoning level.

And if they really cared about saving lives, instead of pretending that guns are the actual problem, they would look for real solutions to remove those people who are inclined towards violence from polite society, at least until they can control their violent tendencies.
