California Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom thinks that if you are a gun owner, you
can be immediately classified as a disease.

Responding to the Baton Rouge murder of police officers, Newsom isn’t following the typical party lines.
Instead he’s blaming the NRA for the whole thing. Sigh.

But it gets worse, Newsom goes on to imply that gun violence is an “endemic” that is plaguing our society…
“The endemic of gun violence terrorizing our society – inflicted upon police officers, nightclub goers, places of work, churches, movie theaters, schools, and disproportionately upon and within America’s minority communities – is by definition a political issue and elected leaders must not back down from calling for tougher regulation of firearms and ammunition in fear of political retribution from these defendants of death.
An endemic is defined as a disease regularly infecting a population. That’s you, me, and the folks at the NRA. And of course, “tougher regulation” is just polical spectacle, and isn’t going to solve the problem.
Education is the first step of many in a free society.
Perhaps making sure Newsom doesn’t get office in the next election is another.

This guy does not understand that the problem is people, not weapons. Mine were only used for killing game. None of them have ever killed any people. That is true all over the nation. Two guys used bombs in Boston, Where do these people get their thinking. I live in Idaho. Many of our killings and wounding of people are Hispanics with knives. Should we ban Hispanics and knives? They can not allow themselves to think that way. How do you control, or outlaw people? The courts and prisons do not work all that well. It can’t be the people, it has to be the weapon. The weapon, I guess, to them, is sentient, has mind control, and takes over the mind and will of the person who thinks it owns the weapon. It would be no surprise to me that these people think that way. Even if they do not, they just can not bring themselves to admit that people are the issue. Just like cars and smog in California. They did the tough laws in California for emissions, because they thought the smog problem was caused by vehicle exhaust. Low and behold, the problem did not go away. It was found to be the factories. How does a politician control factories? The easier target was the cars and trucks. Same as guns, the easier target is guns. That way, they do not have to think to hard to come up with a solution. It is the easier way, and it seems, they are to lazy to go the hard way.

Many years ago a young lady was spouting off about the evil guns, about how guns KILL people. I went out to my car and got my pistol and a hammer, unloaded the pistol, and went back inside. I put the pistol and the hammer on the coffee table, and asked her “So you say that guns kill people? She says yes, I take the hammer and hit her hand. She says “why did I hit her hand? I said I did not, using your logic the hammer did it”.
I carried concealed for forty years and only had to draw my weapon twice, never had to fire. But I know that had I not been armed I would not be here now. My wife was driving home from work late one night, when she stopped at a light, some fellow tried to enter the car. She just picked up her pistol from the seat and ask if she could do anything for him, he left at a dead run. Again if she had not been armed, bad things would have happened. The police can not protect you, by the time they get to the location the party is over. I think the main problem is the politicians have their armed guards and live in a never-never land. And they have never been in touch with the people that voted for them.

Because it can be used for commercial purposes, it is and WILL BE registered as a commercial vehicle. Been there, been through it. So how do the smart people get by this? They buy a big family sedan, take oout the back seat and the trunk barrier, and use it as a truck. While there is a disease involved, it isn’t the gun owners that are carrying /spreading/infected with it. It’s called “cranial rectosis” or more commonly known as “liberalism”.
