Let’s be honest: most billionaires out there aren’t really mavericks when it comes to most issues. Sure, they’ve obviously figured out how to accumulate huge net worths, but when it comes to issues that they like to spout off about, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Jeff Bezos, and company are, for the most part, spouting the same politically left nonsense.
One billionaire, though, has started to really distance himself from that crowd over the last few years with his comments on different issues. An issue that most people don’t know his position on is guns.
And he’s finally broken his silence on them. Alex Nitzberg writes,
Business magnate Elon Musk, who says that he has “an arsenal of weapons,” shared a video of himself shooting a gun.
“I have an arsenal of weapons, most of which I bought in California before they changed the law to make it impossible to do so,” Musk posted. “I’ve hip-fired a 50 cal while walking. Might have the video somewhere.”
Nitzberg continues:
Musk has indicated that he supports the right to bear arms.
“I strongly believe that the right to bear arms is an important safeguard against potential tyranny of government. Historically, maintaining their power over the people is why those in power did not allow public ownership of guns,” Musk noted in an email to CNBC last year.

You have to love that.
Not only has Musk infuriated woke leftists in government (like AOC) and in the tech world with his purchase of X (formerly Twitter) and his statements that he intends to allow people that (gasp!) he may disagree with to be able to post on that platform, now, Musk is likely kicking another hornets’ nest by publicly stating that he supports the Second Amendment (which will also probably have AOC freaking out and calling him out in her own, unique, ignorant way).
The fact that Musk doesn’t seem to care that leftist elites in politics and in the tech and business world disagree with him just makes him more appealing to average, everyday Americans who already think that leftists are either power-hungry would-be tyrants or idiots. And, frankly, in some cases, we’re not sure, on a case-by-case basis, which term applies to which leftists.
But we do know that we want more of these kinds of things from Musk.
Most people do not know how to take his honest opinions, he is not afraid of offending folks and does not seem to be malicious with his personal views. I look forward to hearing more from and about him. Plus who gives a flip about what AOC thinks or cares, put her and Biden on the same bus McCarthy is taking out of town.
I am in total agreement right now with Elon. He is a single Big Buck Supporter and not afraid of much of anyone. It is so refreshing. We need many more people like him in this Country. I saw his video’s and I salute him!
I have read about how he grew up as a child. You have to admire his spirit as a fighter because I grew up much the same way. He was from a poor family and had to fight all the way up to where he is now! I would love to shake his hand in person.
I’m liking this guy.
Why can’t we have people like him in our government instead of some of the imbicles that are in there now?
Anybody who can hip-fire a 50 cal. has my admiration.
