4th Amendment VIOLATION Against You And Me?

If you didn’t think that you were already in living in a 1984-type world or a Brave New World type dystopia, then, you may want to read today’s article carefully.

Now, I’m not suggesting that every part of the U.S. is living in a dystopian nightmare. Thankfully, that’s not the case. But, certainly, some large cities are experiencing crazy stuff like that, and one major city is planning on using new technology to violate both your Second Amendment rights and your Fourth Amendment rights (against illegal search and seizure).

And this isn’t some science fiction movie. Aldgra Fredly writes,

New York planned to test technology that can detect firearms on passengers in its subway system as part of an effort to deter violence in underground transit, its mayor announced on March 28.

New York Mayor Eric Adams said the New York Police Department (NYPD) will begin testing portable scanning machines at several stations after a 90-day notice period under city law for new surveillance technology.“

Keeping New Yorkers safe on the subway and maintaining confidence in the system is key to ensuring that New York remains the safest big city in America,” he said during a press briefing.

The mayor showcased in the March 28 event at the Fulton Street subway station a scanner produced by Evolv, a Massachusetts-based company specializing in security technology.

Fredly continues:

He said that during the 90-day period, the NYPD will work to identify companies with proven expertise in weapons detection technology. After that period ends, a pilot program will be instituted in some subway stations “where the NYPD will be able to further evaluate the equipment’s effectiveness.”

That’s right. The people of New York City will be subject to electronic weapons checks without anyone having a say in the matter once it’s implemented. That means that you won’t be able to use the subways in New York City without someone almost certainly questioning you about your desire to carry a firearm to protect yourself.

How is that anything by flagrant violations of both your Second and Fourth Amendment rights?

The people of New York City deserve better than this kind of garbage government micromanagement of their lives, and the American people certainly don’t deserve to have this kind of surveillance expanded to the national level.

  1. “… without someone almost certainly questioning you about your desire to carry a firearm to protect yourself. …”

sounds to me like if ANYbody is harassed &/or prevented from using the subway for using the 2nd, 4th and any other Amendment right, they should take a page out of the DEM playbook and immediately contact any one of a number of conservative law entities (ie, GOA or similar) to take up a lawsuit against the offending gov’t agency. they should NOT settle out of court but see to it that they end up paying big-time for violating the US Constitution. … i know, easier said than done, but if we don’t take a stand they will continue to overrun the US Constitution AND the law-abiding American people.

    • AAB – this is noo yawk city NOT what remains of free America. It is well nigh impossible for a plain old ordinary person to get a mother may I permit there and a state permit doesn’t ‘count in any of the 5 boroughs.
As to being bothered, NO one should be. Period. OTOH, many left leaning organizations have fought the Stop and Frisk policy but will whole heartedly embrace this tactic.

  2. Um sir, you can not carry a banana on the subway anymore ! We have decided that it looks too much like a hand gun ! Sorry, we are going to have to confiscate that from you 😉 😜

  3. OK, this is nothing more than the pieces of a Great Plan falling into place. The chaos that is New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Baltimore, or any of dozens of once-great American cities IMO has been calculated. New York’s response is the first step of many to deal with this chaos through authoritian means. Too much crime? Deal with it through the suspension of citizen’s rights. Constitution? Bill of Rights? Gone in the name of Public Good. All of this could have been avoided by simply enforcing the law.

  4. Electronic scanning means your body will be bombarded with high frequency electromagnetic radiation every time you ride the subway, and who knows how many times per trip? There’s a reason why pilots and flight crews never went thru the millimeter wave scanning machines (my advice: *always* opt out on that). We are under as much surveillance and tracking as the Chinese, it’s just most Americans are oblivious to it all. Like frogs in a sauce pan, they won’t realize until it’s way too late.

If you want to grow this site, use a comment system like Disqus or Facebook comments, or some other comments system. People who are already registered with those can comment without signing into your website.

On a fresh new website, I had one article get over 500,000 views in just a few weeks by using the Disqus comment system.

And the articles had no less than a few hundred comments.

    Your site needs to GROW.

This information is too important for just a handful of people to see.
