What’s the DEAL, Chicago?

Chicago, you have a lot to answer for.

We keep hearing about how your politicians are constantly pushing stricter and stricter gun control, but your gun violence gets worse and worse,

And not just gun violence. Overall violence keeps getting worse there, too.

Now, the city is putting out would-be mass shooters, in this case a self-described neo-Nazi who… get this… worked at Taco Bell (I doubt that he still has that job after this arrest).

Normal people of all political persuasions despise Nazis, and real Nazis (which are very few, thankfully) wouldn’t take this guy seriously either.

But he did manage to get his hands on a rifle and several magazines. We’re talking Chicago, though, so that may not be too difficult on their obviously well stocked black market for firearms.

Yes, I’m being sarcastic and absurd here, but the level of nonsense in Chicago around guns and shootings as reached clown world levels. This latest incident with the would-be mass shooter just furthers that reputation. The Associated Press gives us the details:

Police in a Chicago suburb announced Wednesday that they had thwarted a potential mass shooting, arresting a 19-year-old man who they said may have planned to target a Hindu place of worship.

Alexandros Paporakis, a Taco Bell cashier from Palatine, Illinois, faces felony charges of making a terrorist threat and unlawfully possessing weapons. Investigators believe he planned to target the largest Hindu temple in Aurora, Illinois, but the exact intended location remains under investigation.

Now, why this guy would target Hindus in the U.S., I have no idea. I’m not aware of any strife or conflict around that group of people.

It’s bizarre.

And, yes, evil.

Fortunately, a coworker who the would-be shooter texted called 911. Police, then, picked up the would-be shooter.

But I still can’t help but wonder: What are you doing, Chicago, to keep turning out such awful gun violence and gun crime numbers?

Whatever it is, stop it. Everyone needs a break.
