It seems to be one of the defining characteristics of anti-gunners and other leftists to not think through the implications of the policies that they advocate.
In case you had any doubts that this was the case, a recent statement made by the wife of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio should settle that question in your mind (hat tip to here for the lead). The staff at Sean Hannity’s website gives us the foolishness:
Chirlane McCray -the wife of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio- stunned millions of New Yorkers on social media over the weekend; asking average residents to “intervene” against crime after slashing the NYPD budget.
“As attacks on Asian American communities continue, we’re asking New Yorkers to show up for their neighbors and intervene when witnessing hateful violence or harassment. I know that can be frightening when you aren’t sure what to do or say, but you can learn,” posted McCray on Twitter.
“Fear is a normal feeling when stepping into a confrontation, but being prepared can help. I’ll share @iHollaback‘s 5 D’s, which are easy to remember tactics that we can all use to de-escalate a situation. D is for Distract, Delegate, Document, Delay, and Direct,” she added.
The thing is, if McCray really wanted to keep folks in New York City safe, she and her husband would be pro-firearm ownership. We already knew that police can’t be everywhere at once even when fully funded, but if you cut the funding for law enforcement, then it naturally falls to people to take up their own self-defense, and that’s what McCray is calling for.
Sounds like exactly the reality that responsible gun owners have recognized is the real situation in the world.
But de Blasio and company are also anti-gun. In other words, they want people to defend themselves, but they want to remove what is, in many cases, the most efficient way for people to save their own lives. In other words, they want to tie the hands of NYC citizens and throw them to the wolves.
Instead of the five principles of “Distract, Delegate, Document, Delay, and Direct” that McCray is pushing, it would be better if she faces reality and promotes gun ownership and training. Criminals should be the ones who are afraid that someone has a gun instead of everyday citizens being the ones afraid and, in this case, disarmed.
Typical Democratic BS, I bet they have ARMED security everywhere they choose to be. But Heaven forbid the”average” New Yorker want a gun for protection because the Mayor’s office DAMN sure isn’t doing anything to protect them!!!

Bernhardt Goetz couldn’t get a gun permit from the New York City Police, even after being Mugged several times; two times where he nearly died in the Hospital. So, Bernie went out and got a gun from another source, and carried it wherever he went. While on a Subway going home, Bernie was surrounded by four black “Yutes” that had a busy day breaking into Arcade Games with their sharpened screwdrivers for the quarters in change from the machines. They asked Bernie if he had five dollars, and began laughing about it, as the skinny, unassuming White guy, with eyeglasses knew what was about to happen. Then, Bernie replied to the four young lads that stood around him that, “I have five for each of you” as he reached into his coat breast pocket, and pulled out a Smith and Wesson .38 Caliber Police Special, and fired the gun at each one of them, hitting Daryl Cabey and Paralyzing the Inner City Yute, while the three others, and the rest of the passengers, ran from the Subway train. Bernie simply got off the Subway at the next stop, and disappeared into the crowd. The result of the shooting was that the News Media dubbed poor old Bernie, “The Subway Vigilante” as if he had gone out that day, and took a Subway ride looking for some Criminal to shoot. Charles Bronson he was not. No, Bernie simply protected his life from what could have been a life ending situation. New York City residents Cheered the “Subway Gunman” hoping that he would never be found. I knew a few guys that were NYPD Cops, and they told me straight out that “Nobody is looking too hard for that guy”. So, the moral of the story, here, is that Citizens having guns makes a positive impact on the Crime Rates in a City, keeping them far lower than having these same people disarmed. Sharpened screwdrivers can kill a person just as easily, and you don’t need to have an FBI Background check to buy one at the Hardware Store.

Air Force One takes a wrong turn. They were over Beijing when the engines quit, Biden ask the pilot what was wrong the pilot said we are out of gas. Harris who happened to be on the same flight jumped too, but she got her chute on, when she tried to open it she kept pulling the wrong chord. She was pulling the chord for her kotex, needless to say that turned out to be a bloody mess. The pilot remembered to switch to the reserve tanks, and flew off into the sunset. This pilot will be remembered as a national hero.

I’d encourage every New Yorker to do what Bernie did that’s still going to stay in that city. By the time the fourth or fifth thug got shot, crime rates would start to drop. But Bernie got away with it for a time because there weren’t cameras everywhere and cell phone cameras didn’t exist. Today they would catch you inside of a week. But in the end it’s better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6 of your friends.
