Wilson Combat, as you may know, makes some sleek firearms. These are guns that are both functional and, to the eyes of many people, are visually attractive, maybe even beautiful. Whether you think of firearms in those terms, one thing that is clear from the visual design of their firearms is that Wilson Combat is serious about the details in the firearms that they manufacture.

Now, Wilson Combat has joined the ranks of higher capacity concealed carry pistol manufacturers like Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, and Sig Sauer. And, based on this new pistol, Wilson Combat is giving these other manufacturers a run for their money. Sort of. Wilson Combat isn’t trying to beat those other manufacturers on price (it’s not even close). No, Wilson Combat is building a higher capacity CCW pistol for those who are willing to pay for the details.

For example, some details about the frame of this pistol give you an idea of the differences from other CCW pistols. From the Wilson Combat website:

More rugged than competing guns made with two-piece grip/frame construction, The slim and flat SFX9 solid frame with the Wilson Combat X-Tac tread pattern improves control with a non-abrasive, comfortable grip in all shooting conditions. The SFX9 is available for order with various trigger, finish and sight options, including machining for red dot sights.

And, then, there are other details. Again, from Wilson Combat’s website:

The hand-fitted 3.25” barrel design has the same match-grade accuracy potential as the larger EDC X9 handguns and is painstakingly tuned by our gunsmiths for flawless reliability with a wide variety of target and defensive ammunition. Like the other EDC X9 models, the SFX9 can be field stripped without tools and can be completely disassembled using only a single punch. The stainless steel slide wears the most advanced black DLC (Diamond-like-Carbon) physical vapor deposition finish available with chromium and tungsten underlayers for long-lasting corrosion and abrasion resistance.

Clearly, Wilson Combat has gone the extra mile to try to make this a special firearm.

So, if you’re in the market for a new concealed carry pistol, the Wilson Combat SFX9 HC 3.25″ Solid Frame X-TAC – 15 Round may be one to consider.

  1. I want to know how much this gun is and how I can get it. Thanks, it’s a great looking gun and looks like a reasonable size for a woman.

  2. Probably in the neighborhood of $2500-$3000, depending on which options are chosen. Wilson makes some of the best guns available.
