If you are one of the millions of Americans who are thinking about buying an AR-15 this year, then you’ll want to read this article now.

The fact is that the AR-15 is the MOST popular rifle in America and has been for some time.

That means there are hundreds, if not thousands of companies that manufacture AR-15 style rifles.

So if you’re in the market to buy one, you have your work cut out for you to make sure you choose the correct rifle for your own needs and that is actually a quality rifle.

No, All AR-15’s Are NOT The Same

The truth is that if you’re like most of the millions of Americans that own an AR-15 you probably won’t use your gun that often.

In fact, I would guesstimate that the average AR-15 owner in America has probably shot his AR-15 once or twice before sticking it in the safe and never really touching it again.

Millions more might take them out of the safe once or twice per year and fire a few magazines through them.

If you think you won’t ever use your AR-15 more than a couple times per year, then you may be OK with any AR-15 that you purchase.

To be honest, the quality won’t really matter that much to you. As long as its fun to shoot for those few hundred rounds, you will be fine.

But if you want to get the best “bang for your buck” then I’ve prepared a three part guide to how to find a quality AR-15 for you.

Must-Read Articles On Choosing a Quality AR-15

In the series below, I got into detail on what makes a quality AR-15.

*** The AR-15 Quality & Mil-Spec Guide part 1 – what you need to know about the “heart” of the AR-15 (in short, the most important part of the rifle!)

*** The AR-15 quality & Mil-Spec Guide part 2 – what you need to know about AR-15 barrels and how to choose a quality one.

*** The Quality AR-15 Guide Part 3 (what you should know about gas systems)

Once you read those three articles, you’ll have a good idea of what makes a quality AR-15.

The next step after purchasing or building an AR-15 from quality parts will be customizing it to your liking. The problem with this is that there are a TON of accessories you can buy for the AR-15.

In my opinion, there are really only THREE that you actually need. Check out this article, to see the 3 Critical Accessories Your AR-15 needs.

If you’re going to buy an AR-15 this year, then please read these four articles. They will save you time and money and will help you get educated enough to buy or build a quality, reliable, effective AR-15 for your own needs.

  1. Core brand: If the gun is sold ten times and had hundreds of rounds through it it is still covered by warranty. Tolerances are much tighter than other brands. Got one and it performs well. First shot was a bulls eye at 100 yards. Next was at 400 yds, 2 inches low, 1 inch group. Bought a lot of guns in my years but none performed better out of the box. Recommend it to everyone. Price was great, warranty is great and the way it’s built I doubt I will ever need to use it Warranty alone is reason enough to buy, performance is great. There were 2 on the wall, Core and a popular brand, glad I opted for the cheaper of the two.

  2. I own a couple AR’s and the PolymAR-15SC manufactured by the ROBAR Companies and MidWest Industries and is by far the best AR I have ever shot. Going to get rid of my older ones along with the 2 really old AK’s I have. My PolymAR-15SC doesn’t sit in the safe very often as I go to the range with it and my Standard DP-12 at least once every 2 weeks and more if I can afford the ammo, weather permitting.

  3. Hi Celeb, I still have not received my AR15 yet. The last time I mentioned about this delay was three months ago. Can you check what really the delay is? Thank you!
