One of the most frustrating things about the current political climate is that those who keep rioting, injuring people, and damaging property, are the same people who advocate for gun control.
The same is true for the politicians and mainstream media who support and encourage these people.
None of these folks seem to care about the average citizen who simply wants to take care of their family and live their life. If these rioters and their encouragers did care about the average American, then they would be encouraging gun ownership for self-defense.
To give an idea of the insanity that is going on while police are being held back from doing their jobs and being defunded, here is just one story from Portland, Oregon from August 16, 2020. Danielle Wallace writes,
More than 60 emergency calls to police went unheeded overnight in Portland as officers were preoccupied with hundreds of demonstrators downtown and were pelted by rocks.
On the 80th consecutive night of protests, the Portland Police Bureau declared a riot around midnight Sunday after a crowd of hundreds had blocked traffic for three hours by the Penumbra Kelly Building in the 4700 block of East Burnside Street, trespassed on the closed property and engaged in “violent, tumultuous conduct.”
Wallace continues,
“At the time of this release over 60 calls for police service were holding around the city,” the Police Bureau said in a statement. “Some had been holding for the length of the events described here. Call types ranged from theft, vandalism, suspicious activity, hazards, hit and run, burglary, violation of restraining order, alarms, stolen cars, harassment and many others.”
But anti-gunners think that average, everyday, law-abiding Americans should be disarmed so that they can’t defend themselves and their homes from these insane people who revel in chaos and destruction.
If there is one thing that the riots in Portland and so many other cities have done, it is that they have made it abundantly clear that people who actually want to protect themselves should probably buy and learn how to use a firearm because the insane people behind these riots are showing no sign of calming down.
Second amendment was created for very good reasons, that only seem to get more important with time –
these guys need to storm demos neighborhoods, then we’ll see how fast police get funded
People need to go one step beyond owning a firearm. People should organize themselves in their neighborhoods to have a Quick Reaction Force capable of confronting a mob.

I don’t understand one thing…..how is that the Democrats in office took an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution yet they violate their oath everyday that they’re in office . Why doesn’t Trump or the NRA or any other group file suit against every one of them for Treason, since they like to bring suit to every business that supports the 2nd amendment?
Because unlike us they don’t have the same moral fiber. Lying cheating and extorting is the norm for them.They will say and do ANYTHING to obtain their desired results!

These are the acts of insurrectionists and terrorist minded revolutionaries! We all know that this is planned and staged by design. Supported by certain enabling political parties to steer We The People toward chaos and violence. In order to fundamentally change the nature of our country from a Representative Republic to a twisted vision of a Democratic Socialist wonderland, where the political elitists are in charge and exclusively make the laws without our input. I know people who lived and worked in midtown Portland. They moved to safer places, bought guns, closed their businesses of 30 years. All because their leaders allowed this chaos to exist in their lifelong home city. Then they themselves left! They reported the hundreds of squatters from out of town, the white vans roaming around the streets carrying “supplies” for the rioters and occasionally driving them away after acts of violence, arson and robbery.

I believe it is noteworthy to mention that “some” jurisdictions have actually passed laws (?) which make it a FELONY (if convicted) to DEFEND your own property with a firearm. Of course, NO convictions have been obtained. However, this has not prevented some (questionable) district attorneys from bringing action against homeowners (the State pays for the prosecution while the INDIVIDUAL must pay for his/her defense). So far, the homeowners HAVE been successful in the defense of their property — score one for the Second Amendment and gun ownership !!
All who engage in terroristic actions [arson, looting, rioting, aggravated assault] should be charged, and convicted of a felony-level crime, eliminating their right to vote in the future. Through this simple measure, Democrat/Socialists will be deterred from these heinous acts, or eliminated from the roles.
I wish we lived in that perfect little world where everything is always alright, but things have changed so drastically that we cannot act like ostriches with their heads in the sand. We MUST make sure that owning and using guns to protect yourself and your property then start then arrest ANYONE who treads on MY rights according to the Constitution and make sure that the Constitution stays in place as the major law of the land. The leftwing is leting felons out of prison by paying for their release. Joe Democrats are the ones doing it. Florida also allowing felons to vote is stupid if you are a felon you should not be allowed to vote.
