You may have noticed that, at least over the last few years, the quality of “journalism” that we tend to see from the mainstream media is appalling. There is often little to no factual content, with open attacks on guns and gun owners.
It’s not journalism. It’s propaganda of a level that would make Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels proud (yes, I’m comparing anti-gun “journalists” in the mainstream media to Nazis. That’s not an accident or misprint.). If you’ve studied journalism or propaganda techniques, then you know that this is true.
But, sadly, the frequency of outright slander against guns and gun owners in the media isn’t decreasing, and, with the clueless guy (that’s Biden, if you weren’t clear on that) scheduled to be inaugurated tomorrow at the time of this writing, it’s likely to continue to get worse.
But even with the pathetic “journalistic standards” that the left-wing media has, a recent piece published in the Arkansas Times takes journalism to a new low. Max Brantley writes in that piece,
The homicide-encouragement bill known as stand your ground legislation is before the Senate Judiciary Committee today and likely will pass through like corn through a goose, with a similar result.ADVERTISEMENT
Opponents expect the bill, which removes a requirement to retreat before shooting in self-defense and allows shooting on perception of threat, to be amended to make it worse.
Sen. Bob Ballinger, a lead sponsor, could provide no example for Sen. Jim Hendren asking whether there’d been a case of wrongful prosecution of someone acting in self-defense. Ballinger said his mom had told him a story along those lines. Specifics? None. Hendren also questioned Ballinger on whether there might be a racial difference in how the laws are enforced elsewhere and didn’t reduce crime. Ballinger essentially said you could find research to prove whatever side you might be on.
Now, if this piece had been labeled an op-ed, there would be no problem with it. Call it what it is: an opinion piece from someone who hates guns and is terrified of them and, obviously, has no clue about the real (as in, not spun to make them say something that they don’t) statistics about defensive gun use.
But this piece doesn’t say anything anywhere about being an opinion piece. It presents it as “journalism.”
It’s not journalism. It’s mud slinging without any rational basis, and it’s nothing but foolishness. Even anti-gunners deserve better “reporting.”
The mainstream media is almost solely responsible for the current situation in this country. They have become so bold and brazen in their bias that half the country no longer believes any of their content. People have to go elsewhere for information and two political realities, polar opposites of each other, have taken hold. The majority of people in the US were politically more towards the center of the political spectrum. The media has created a climate where the majority of people are now further to the right or left of their party’s views. If the media reported without bias more people would trust a free press and they could again shape a centrist political reality that unites the country instead of dividing it.
The anti firearms Nazis are in high gear and always have been. The difference now is that SloJo, the beneficiary of our election being stolen via his Chinese friends and co-criminals in government will now use this to maximum effect. The time for absolute non conformance by We The People is here. Period. So many seem to have forgotten that our Founding Fathers were peace loving people who when pushed to their limit stood up and took the fight to their oppressors with Firearms. It’s the Duty of Every American to ignore any and all “legislation” which doesn’t meet the Constitutional Standard and this means our 2A RIGHTS most of all because after all, government does everything under threat of force. Stand Up Americans.
Today’s so called journalists need not be concerned with either truth or accuracy. Write a story sensationalize it to hell. if you get it wrong maybe write a 2 line apology 8 pages back in the paper! Or correct your error at the 2am news broadcast when most people have are fast asleep. One only needs to look at poor Richard Jewel and the Olympic Park bombing . The man was actually a hero who found the bomb! But then accused of planting it to be a hero for finding it. Actual villain was Eric Rudolph! The media destroyed that mans life. They tout their 1st Amendment rights and willingly trample all over the 2nd. Most of these liberal writers have never worn a uniform or paid any real price for the freedoms they abuse so easily! When the Democrats eventually show their true colors and the communists get first proof read of their piece then they’ll know!
The media today just plain sucks and have forgotten what its task is, especially turncoats like George Steffanopolous who should know how the government needs to operate sometimes but uses that knowledge improperly. He’s the kind who would reveal necessary secret missions because it is “news” that the American people should know.
Assage and Snowden might be heroes for the domestic spying in the U.S. that they revealed but should be SHOT for releasing anything regarding international relationships.
With the exception of a few alt-news sites, journalism is dead.
If anybody comes in my house, unannounced, with a gun pointed at me or anyone in my family, that person deserves the shot that will kill him!
Whether that person is white, brown, yellow or black makes NO difference!
Let’s examine the facts. THE FACTS, in case you did not hear me! More home invasions are committed by blacks: 65%.
And the rest is history.
I am not racist. If I shoot a black man, it is because he is too lazy, too drugged, too uneducated to make a living on his own. He believes he is entitled to whatever everybody else has worked very hard for. Well, not here in this country, where the LAWS protect the indivuduals and their ownership of what they paid for. With their sweat, their strength, their tears, their hard earned money. Even the drug dealers will shoot a thief! That is called “Black on Black”. Hmmmmm. So, a drug dealer has the right use the law for his own protection? YES SIR. Thanks to our Forefathers, everybody is entitled to the protection under the law!
