Barack Obama wasn’t just a great gun salesmen, he also presided over the largest increase in concealed carry permits in our history. Under Obama, permits skyrocketed a stunning 215%. That doesn’t even include the states where no permit is required.
A new report from CPRC is packed full of facts the mainstream media would rather you not know. The bottom line is that the number of Americans choosing to arm themselves outside of their homes is exploding.
Highlights of the new report from CPRC:
During President Obama’s administration, the number of concealed handgun permits has soared to over 14.5 million – a 215% increase since 2007. Among the findings of our report:
■ In ten states, more than 10% of adults have concealed handgun permits. Indiana has the highest rate — 15%. South Dakota is close behind with 14.7%.
■ Florida, Pennsylvania, and Texas each have over a million residents who are active permit holders.
■ In another 11 states, a permit is no longer required to carry in all or virtually all of the state. Thus the growth in permits does not provide a full picture of the overall increase in concealed carry.
■ Between 2012 and 2016, in states that provide data by gender, the number of women with permits has increased twice as quickly as the number of men with permits.
Interesting that Indiana has the highest ratio of permit holders among the states that require them. Congrats, Hoosiers!
Another interesting takeaway is that the number of permits among women is increasing faster than permits among men.
Can Hillary Clinton tell us who she is fighting for again? Who is waging a war on women? Who is disarming them?
None of this news fits Obama’s narrative, so don’t expect to hear about it anywhere else.

We’re proud of you folks, and here in Maine, for once I am proud of our governor and state legislators; we’re now a Constitutional Carry state! But many folks will continue to keep their permits active, for reciprocity reasons….have a good day!
Too bad they didn’t include any change in crime statistics in jurisdictions where they relaxed the CCW laws and issued more permits. That would be interesting to see. Crime normally goes down where citizens are more readily able to carry weapons legally.
I think it’s great that so many carry. I would like to see a us that you didn’t have a permit. Wouldn’t that make the gun graders happy! They wouldn’t have any thing to report to the main stream media, or to lie about.

We let convicted felons go free when they have a firearm because it’s politically correct to the politicians. Now, us, we, don’t get those consideration’s because we’re not “stars”, only law biding proud AMERICANS. Male’s me sick that our HERO’S are swept in the sewers.

I am having my own battle with just having my freakin 22 cal pistol returned to my possession after I was given a 12 month probation from by a Magistrate that I could not possess any type of weapon. The small town so called police Dept. issued me a charge of reckless use of a firearm. My biggest mistake was calling the authorities after I accidentally shot my left palm, when a round somehow managed to enter the chamber,for which I never keep my 3 pistols with any rounds in the chamber. I appeared before a District Judge after serving my 12 month period. He wished me good luck and said have a good day. The disposition was signed by a Court Clerk, not the Judge on July 29 2016. Well comeSunday Sept. 1st will be 14 months since I was handed my sentence on July 30 2015. The local shithole P.D. is playing Judge by extending my sentence. Do not ever drive through the small town of UTICA MI, and sneeze, you may be given a 5 year jail sentence handed to you. If you think I’m joking, go ahead and spit on the sidewalk. The increase in firearms sales and concealed carry permits is the ONLY thing that Obama has accomplished that is even remotely to be considered an accomplishment .. and this wasn’t intentional for him.
